The Movement Theatre Company is launching 1MOVE: DES19NED BY... as part of 1MOVE, a program created to give artists an opportunity in the digital space to respond to issues in the NOW. 

1MOVE: DES19NED BY... is a designer-driven online gallery where the designer acts with absolute freedom as the lead or solo artist to create digital content in response to the current COVID19 pandemic.  Co-curated with designers Clint Ramos and Cha See to highlight the plight of early career designers, we've commissioned 15 designers to dream big in this digital space. Each designer will receive a stipend and budget to bring their commission to life.  All content will be launched on our website in early June.

While live theater is on pause, designers are hit especially hard.  Unlike playwrights and actors, there are few opportunities for designers to continue their artistic work while the creative field is shut down.
